News and release notes of the XMachines packages. A release post tells what changed, why, and what to do when you upgrade.
XMachines 7.0.0: one error contract for five renderers
A failure of the root of a view now shows the fallback in every renderer. The release also checks the ids and the state keys of a machine, supports SvelteKit 3, and moves json-render to 0.21.0-xm.6.
XMachines 6.1.0: a layout and its pages
A parent view can now hold the views of its substates through outlets. The Vue and Svelte renderers render in a browser, and a parallel machine takes its URL from its routed region.
XMachines 6.0.0:
@xmachines/core, and a plain releaseA new base package for errors, the release protocol, and a cache. Every subscription hands back a plain release again, and a caller that wants a
usingdeclaration asks for one.XMachines 5.0.0: atoms replace signals
@xmachines/play-atomreplaces@xmachines/play-signals, the actor derives its view, and the route pattern language gets its own package.XMachines 4.0.0: routing and the view as capabilities
An actor composes only the capabilities that it needs, the router splits at the machine boundary, and the view gets its own package. Node 24 and XState 5.33 are the new floors.
XMachines 3.0.0: one release type, and contained failures
A release value that a
usingdeclaration can end, and one rule for failed views in all five renderers. The version is a major, but only play-dom changes its behavior.
